Our high-quality distilled water is delivered in packaging from 1-gallon containers to 330-gallon totes. As distilled water is non-hazardous, we can easily deliver it while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
For best results, distilled water should be stored in a sealed container at 59-77°F (15–25°C), away from sunlight and moisture. Once exposed to air, it can absorb trace elements such as carbon dioxide, which may affect conductivity.
Distilled water is a form of purified water that’s used in a wide range of industries. Its high purity makes it ideal for use in industrial and laboratory environments, whether it’s for cleaning, rinsing, or testing. It’s also commonly used in irons, the manufacturing of automotive batteries, and in laser cutting.
Although you can drink certain types of distilled water, its lack of minerals negatively affects taste and provides no real health benefits. As industry-leading chemical manufacturers and distilled water suppliers, our distilled water is extremely pure, and NOT suitable for consumption.
Another type of water used in laboratory environments is deionized water. This is often used to top up lead-acid batteries in the automotive industry. This is due to trace elements in tap water having a reductive impact on the lifespan of a truck or car battery.
Distilled water is made from the distillates of evaporated water. During this distillation process, almost all of the impurities are removed, leaving a clear, colorless liquid with a neutral pH and low conductivity.
After this process, deionized water may still contain some impurities. This is why it’s the purest option. Distillation can be a slow process, and a still is needed for production to take place.
